“Pursue the things which make for peace and building up of one another”We at the Lapeer church of Christ are a diverse community of believers with a variety of talents and abilities which are realized for the glorification of Christ through worship while supporting one another in fellowship and serving our community both locally and abroad.
We are united in Christ Jesus and as a part of the body of Christ; we believe that Jesus is the son of God and that he came to earth and willingly died on the cross as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.
We believe that Jesus rose from the grave and is alive today in heaven and that he now resides in us as Christians through the Holy Spirit of God. We believe that our Lord will one day return to take his own to be with him in heaven.
We accept and teach that the Bible is the inspired word of God as our final authority and as such, the Lapeer church of Christ is governed by a group of men chosen out from the congregation as our leaders (Elders/Shepherds). The elders appoint others to be servant leaders (preachers, deacons, ministry leaders and other volunteers) to administer various ministries and needs of our congregation, our local community and abroad.
Each Sunday as part of our corporate worship, we participate in the remembrance of our Lord’s suffering and atoning sacrifice through communion as we celebrate the gift of salvation that we have through Christ while affirming our devotion to our Lord and savior.
